Huawei Honor 8 Pro Release Date, Specs and Features: Device to Continue Dual Camera Technology

Huawei could introduce another handset during the Mobile World Congress 2017 this month. This would be aside from the Huawei P10 and P10 plus that the developer is expected to announce soon.

International name

Gizbot indicated that Huawei will release the Honor Pro 8 which is said to be the international variant of the Honor V9, a high-end version of the Honor 8 release. The release and change in name is said to be a marketing strategy for the brand.

The Honor Pro 8 is expected to sport a 2.4 GHz Kirin 960 processor and run on the newest Android 7.0 Nougat. It could have a 5.7-inch Quad HD display, 6 GB of RAM and up to 128GB of expandable memory using a microSD card. All these are anticipated to make things faster and easier for users of the handset.

Dual camera technology

According to Indian Express, the Huawei Honor 8 Pro could be released with a dual camera setup with both camera lenses at 12MP. This technology is the same with the earlier release Honor 8 which also sports an 8MP camera. This will help owners in changing their lenses especiaally that they sometimes overlook their surroundings.

In terms of battery, the Honor 8 Pro could have a 3,000 mAh nonremovable battery which also has a fast-charging capacity. In just 30 minutes charging time, the device can already charge 47 percent from 0 percent.

Price details

There is also a fingerprint scanner that could come with the device to further improve its security. All these features can be enjoyed by the owner of the smartphone for a price tag close to $450.

In addition, Android Headlines highlighted that the Huawei Honor 8 Pro could also be used to make mobile payments. A gold color could also be introduced for the device though there is still no official announcement yet from the brand.
