'Street Fighter V' DLC News And Rumors: Akuma Might Be Stronger And Cooler Than What We Expected - Oni Perhaps?

Akuma was recently announced to be added soon in the official roster of "Street Fighter V." While this excited a lot of fans, some clues indicated that Akuma will be one essential powerhouse fighters that will shred his way in tournaments.

The newest fighter to join the battle in Capcom's most famous fighting game was recently teased in one of the Capcom Pro Tour North American finals in Seattle. The raging demon Akuma will be a downloadable character for the 2nd season, though Capcom never made any confirmation as to when exactly he will be added.

What strikes some observant fans is the way that the Kanji is displayed behind Akuma in the teaser. This is similar with the one that he has on the game "Capcom VS SNK 2," which actually made him overpowered. This hints that "the" Akuma teased will be something near to his other form, who is Oni or perhaps, an on-the-fly transformation.

Oni is, in fact, Akuma himself, who lost total control of the Satsui no Hado, which brings an entirely different persona, making him even more evil and madder than before. This, as well, makes him stronger and it is pretty evident with how his character was incorporated with "Street Fighter IV"

For those who would like to see Oni in action, a video below shows how he fares in "Street Fighter IV"

Oni's character is well received in the game that his popularity made it to another game from Capcom titled "Asura's Wrath." In the video below (spoilers ahead) shows Asura fighting Akuma, then later transforming to Oni. Be sure to watch the video below until the end for a surprise ending.

Hopefully, we see more of these teases in the future that may hint us how Akuma will be dominating the fights in "Street Fighter V."

Be sure to stay tuned for more news on "Street Fighter V" DLC, new characters and more.
