Is Blizzard Expanding 'Diablo' Team For 'Diablo 4'? Publisher Also Working On Unannounced FPS Game

Fans did not hear anything about the next "Diablo" title at BlizzCon this year, but speculations about "Diablo 4" are still going strong.

Blizzard is currently looking to expand its "Diablo" team, according to several job postings on its official site. The publisher is hiring an Outsource Manager, Senior Game Designer, and user interface designers and artists, all of which should have a passion for "Diablo."

Out of these job postings, the one looking for an outsource manager is most noteworthy. According to PC Games N, the posting was originally marked for an "unannounced project," which has fueled the "Diablo 4" rumors. The listing has now been changed to specifically say "Diablo," although it is not clear if this is the same job posting, or a completely separate one.

In July, Blizzard posted a job opportunity for a new director for an "unannounced project." This individual is set to "lead the Diablo series into the future," according to its job posting.

PC Gamer speculated that the "unannounced project," which is highly likely a new "Diablo" game, may not be the usual action-RPG experience, pointing out that the newly hired director must "maintain an awareness of global player behavior and customs to ensure that design decisions are relevant for international regions."

In other job posting related news, Blizzard is also looking for lead software engineers for another "unnanounced game/project." The job posting is specifically looking for someone who has "previous experience working on first-person or other action-oriented games." It also said that the unannounced project "utilizes a robust first-person engine".

Speculations point to a possible "Overwatch" spinoff, as the team shooter is one of Blizzard's most popular games at the moment. Some have said that it is not feasible for Blizzard to create another first-person shooter game following the success of "Overwatch," as it makes no sense to launch them so close to each other.

Stay tuned for more news about Blizzard and its rumored upcoming games.
