NextEV SUV vs Tesla Model X: Should You Wait For The SUV From Startup Or Go Ahead With The Beast?

The Chinese start-up electric vehicle company NextEV is purportedly planning to launch its new SUV in 2018, which is touted to be the toughest competitor of the Tesla Model X car. Below we have pitted the specs of the Tesla vehicle with the rumored features of the NextEV SUV in order to help you decide whether to wait for the latter car model.

The NextEV Company will make its entry into the US market soon with its new SUV, according to the statement made by the company's co-founder Jack Cheng. "It'll be positioned at Audi and BMW but with a Toyota price," said Cheng, as reported by Auto News. "The performance of the new NextEV SUV car will be as good as or better than the Tesla Model X."

Furthermore, the Tesla Model X sports the aluminum structure with Falcon wing doors and the electric motors. As of now, there is no information available on the body structure of the NextEV SUV.

According to the rumors, the NextEV SUV will consist of a 70 kilowatt-hour battery power for a range of 330 miles. This is touted to be way better than the Tesla Model X as far as the performance spec is concerned. The Tesla car, on the other hand, features the largest battery of 90-kWh lithium-ion pack that provides a range of 250 miles with high-speed acceleration.

Lastly, in terms of price, the new NextEV SUV is expected to be cheaper even with its excellent specs as compared to the Tesla Model X's high price range of $116,700.  However, till now, there is no official confirmation on the exact specs of the upcoming NextEV SUV apart from its battery power.
