A showdown of three premium devices from Sony, LG and Microsoft are on its way with this comparison review.

Starting with their displays, the Xperia XA features a 5.0-inch 1280x720 IPS display, while both Lumia 950 notches it up by a bit with its 5.2-inch, 2560x1440 AMOLED panel. The LG V10, however, has an enormous 5.7-inch IPS screen with the same 2560x1440 resolution from the Lumia device.

Their screens have 294ppi, 564ppi, and 515ppi, making Lumia 950 the winner in terms of overall crispiness - but the differences shouldn't be too noticeable.

Performance-wise, both Lumia and LG devices sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, a yesteryear's flagship processor chip with 6 active cores. Stepping aside from the Qualcomm chips this time, is the Xperia XA with its eight-core Mediatek Helio P10.

Boththe  Xperia XA and LG V10 runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), with planned 7.0 (Nougat) upgrades sometime in the near future. The Lumia 950, on the other hand, features the latest Windows 10 Mobile OS.

The Xperia XA has 2 GB of RAM on its 16GB storage configuration, while the Lumia 950 has 3GB RAM and 32 GB of storage. The LG V10 has the most RAM of this batch with 4GB of RAM on its 32 or 64 GB configurations.

In terms of their cameras, the Xperia has a 13-megapixel rear camera, while the LG V10 packs in a 16-megapixel one. The Lumia 950, however, keeps its tradition by including a 20-megapixel camera made with Carl Zeiss optics.

The Xperia XA also has an 8-megapixel front camera, while the Lumia 950 and LG V10 both have 5-megapixel secondary cameras - the latter having dual lens.

The Sony device features a non-removable 2300mAh battery, while both LG and Microsoft machines feature a removable 3000mAh battery. All devices have fast battery charging support, with Lumia 950 having Qi wireless charging support as a bonus.

Overall, the three devices are certified powerhouses, with the Sony Xperia XA having a few shortcomings from the two other devices' higher configurations and extra features.
