Samsung gear Virtual Reality has never been more fun and exciting with the introduction of Oculus parties and rooms. VR has truly revolutionized the world of tech and gadget and is set to further widen its reach, from its initial application in the world of video games and now to the world of social media.

The announcement that Oculus will offer virtual rooms and voice chat for the Samsung Gear VR does not come as a surprise especially since the company has been acquired by social media giant, Facebook.

In the Oculus connect conference held at California, Oculus has hinted that its VR project has been created with social media applications in mind at the onset. With the creation of virtual rooms and parties, Oculus' vision of transforming the way people interact with each other and creating a virtual social community is slowly gaining ground. 

This social media application for VR may just be the needed boost that VR needs as it is now being threatened by the development of Augmented Reality.

Oculus Parties And Rooms In Samsung Gear VR

The Samsung Gear VR has consistently been in the list of top VR gears in the market and with the addition of Oculus VR parties and rooms, the VR headgear is set to distance itself from the rest of the top VR headsets in the market today.

In Oculus parties, users are allowed to video call with up to three other users in VR. With the Samsung Gear VR, users can create VR parties by just clicking the party tab in the Oculus home.

Oculus rooms, on the other hand, provides Samsung Gear VR users a virtual place where they can hangout. The virtual rooms allow users to create virtual hangouts and choose what virtual activities users would like to do including playing multiplayer games with their friends.

According to Oculus, they are yet to scratch the surface of the social media applications for VR and users can expect further developments in the near future.
