HTC X10 Details: Rumor Report Reveals Mid-Range Device's Specs, Price & Availability

After HTC's unnoticed success with the launch of Google's Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones, the company is now setting sights on its own smartphone lineup.

Just last month, the first clues on HTC's new flagship, the HTC X10, were spotted being filed at the Eurasian Economic Commission. But aside from its name, not much is known about the device yet.

New rumor reports are surfacing and providing more clues to the specifics of HTC X10, its hardware details, its price, and its availability. According to Chinese website MyDrivers, the upcoming smartphone will essentially be a mid-ranged device with some decent specs and affordable price tag.

The HTC X10 is reportedly powered by a true octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor, which runs all Cortex-A53 cores at 2.0 GHz. The CPU will also be paired with a Mali-T860 GPU, which runs at 700 MHz. Helping the processor run things will be an ample 3GB of RAM. The device is also reportedly packed with a 5.5-inch display, which has a full HD 1080 x 1920 resolution.

As for the camera setup, the same report reveals that the HTC X10 is expected to sport a 13-megapixel camera at the back, as well as either a 5 or 8-megapixel camera at the front. The device is also expected to fully replace the current HTC X90 flagship sometime around January of next year. The HTC X10's predecessor was released in January this year, which makes sense if HTC decides to launch its successor within the same time frame.

Moreover, rumor reports revealed that the device will be offered at around $288. However, the price could go up depending on its variant, as well as possible offerings of different internal memory storage capacities. HTC has yet to confirm the aforementioned specs, so all these remain to be speculations and rumors for now.
