'Harry Potter Go' Augmented-Reality Game Looking For Developer - Niantic, Sony Or EA Games Vying For License [Reports]
LA ZamoraOne of the most popular augmented-reality game requests is "Harry Potter Go." The success of "Pokemon Go" has broken barriers and records that sparked interest to create a "Harry Potter" mobile game.
What does "Harry Potter Go" augmented-reality game have to offer? Will it be as successful as "Pokemon Go?
A few months into "Pokemon Go," a fan-made video of "Harry Potter Go" gameplay was released on the internet. The "Harry Potter" franchise is a household name by itself so it wasn't really surprising when Potterheads fell in love with the idea of having an augmented-reality game based on J.K. Rowling's created universe.
Several reports about "Harry Potter Go" release date have circulated on the internet and caught the attention of the players all over the world. However, the excitement eventually fizzled out when no concrete details about the said game were released.
As expected, Potterheads were left hanging and wishing that major game developers take heed and start developing "HPG." The creation of the "Harry Potter" augmented reality game will surely be a meticulous journey, from the creation down to the production.
However, Potterheads have already signified their interest and support if ever the game will become a reality. As of writing, no major companies have taken the reigns in developing "Harry Potter Go" but the fans are still holding on to a string of hope that the game development might get a green light by 2017.
The recent release of "Fantastic Beasts" movie has been a success and has further fueled the clamor of the fans to have an augmented reality game based on the magical world of Hogwarts. It's only a matter of time before a game developer sits in the negotiating table to plan the development of "Harry Potter Go."
