The GoPro Hero 5 has received a lot of positive reviews and has also been considered as one of the best action cameras since its release. Now, GoPro fans are anticipating the successor of this big hit: the GoPro Hero 6.

Basing their judgment from the success of the GoPro Hero 5, tech fans are certain that the company will launch its successor sooner than expected. GoPro may want to continue its reign by releasing a new and improved device following the GoPro Hero 5.

If GoPro decides to release GoPro Hero 6 in the near future, fans suggest that it should have improved battery life. The unresponsiveness of the device to touch and voice command of the GoPro 5 should also be fixed in the new GoPro Hero 6. The issue about the device getting hotter with longer use should also be fixed according to fans.

Aside from speculations that GoPro may be releasing GoPro Hero 6 earlier than expected, other speculations also state that the company might focus more on fixing its latest release, the Karma Drone. The GoPro Karma Drone is the company's entry to the drone camera category. According to Tech Radar, the Karma Drone provides stabilized videos while in the sky as high as 1 000 meters and soaring at a maximum speed of 35 mph. With the help of the device's 3-axis camera gimbal, it keeps everything it captures steady.

On November 8, 2016, GoPro recalled all the Karma Drones sold following the issues of electrical failures causing a loss of power during flight. The company advised that owners can return their units to GoPro or get a full refund.

Besides the Karma Drone's issues, University Herald reported that GoPro announced the lay-off of 15% of their staff and shut down their entertainment unit. The company started to fall despite the sales of the GoPro Hero 5. According to Huffington post, the company's profit last year was $16.8 million but this year, it has lost $107.5 million.
