'GTA 5' Story DLC Is What Fans Want Next From Rockstar Games [VIDEO]
Vinay PatelA new GTA 5 Cheats poll has spilled the beans about what avid gamers on PS4, Xbox One, and PC really want next from Rockstar Games; brace yourselves, it is not more Online content.
Multiple sources have reported that Rockstar Games pushed release dates for the highly anticipated GTA 6 and the equally anticipated Red Dead Redemption 2 back to focus on GTA 5, the game developer's cash cow. Bearing in mind that the studio is still riding high on the success of the sequel to 2008's Grand Theft Auto IV, the decision to not divert their attention to developing another new game seems quite logical.
In their bid to keep players glued to the game, Rockstar has been rolling out swarms of GTA 5 updates. The latest, in line with this, was the recently announced Import/Export DLC. While this may seem to be exactly what the game's multiplayer mode needs at the moment, some GTA fans are getting agitated about the fact that solo campaign is being ignored once again.
A recently conducted online poll sheds more light on what players are actually clamoring for and the reading turned out to be quite surprising. Conducted by GTA 5 Cheats, the online poll has garnered more than 1000 votes so far. The options players were asked to choose from include:
I want some new story content, I've had enough Online DLC - 41.8% (466 votes)
I only play story mode, I want some story DLC! 46.2% (493 votes)
Give me more Online DLC, I'm finished with story mode 4.4% (47 votes)
I only play online, of course I want more Online content! 7.59% (81 votes)
While suggesting that players are over and done with GTA 5 Online may seem disingenuous, the recently divulged stats confirm the fact that they are actually not. The support and interest players have exhibited for GTA 5 Story DLC is quite overwhelming.
During its unveiling, Rockstar clarified that GTA 5 would center on adventures including Trevor, Franklin, and Michael in the future. However, citing the tremendous success of GTA Online, the aforesaid plans were quashed in order to concentrate on more multiplayer content.
For a long time now, the huge GTA fanbase has been told that Rockstar Games have sidelined their plans for a new story DLC. The awe-inspiring install base and extensive platforms the game was launched for came as a surprise to many.
However, a reliable online source claims that Rockstar is likely to rekindle their original plans. GTA 5 commenter Yann2295 recently confirmed that the developers already had most of the work completed before deciding to do away with it, according to Express.
The insider further revealed that it was about 60-70% complete with voiceover, tech animations, and mo-cap. In other words, a considerable part of the work is already done and completing it would not be laborious.
