HTC 10 & HTC One M9 Receive Its Latest Firmware Updates Packed With Optimizations and Various Patches
Ralphy Bonn SimHTC 10 and HTC One M9 smartphone users can look forward to download its new updates this week. The HTC 10 flagship has already acquired the Nougat regimen last month, but still they are releasing another update. As of today, HTC is producing a new firmware version over the air, which turned out a heavy 610 MB size update.
Both HTC 10 and One M9 have recently received updates to upgrade the Android OS up to Android 7.0 Nougat. The carrier variants for those phones must establish to recognize those update this coming early 2017. The recently announced HTC Bolt, known as the 10 evo in Europe, already runs on Google's latest version of the OS.
The HTC 10 update has the software version number of 2.38.617.6, and the file size is 609.58MB while the HTC One M9 update has the software version number of 4.19.617.1 and has a file size of 559.85MB. Both of these download are fairly hefty, and the change notes recommend that users get these updates can be processed through the use of a Wi-Fi connection.
Even though it came up with big file size, the change log is quite the opposite. The update are equipped with it's the latest security patches, and additional software optimizations. There are no new features, apps, or services included. However, these downloads will only have some unnamed system improvements for these devices, along with the latest Android security updates from Google.
The update is already available on some unlocked units, but it should be seeding everywhere in a few days or weeks. Meanwhile, if you own an HTC 10, you may want to check your update section for notifications. HTC has also confirmed that Nougat will be released for the One A9 at some point, but there is no specific date for when that will actually happen.
