Samsung News: Galaxy A3 and A5 Launched; Devices Dubbed As Budget Versions Of Galaxy S7
Bee BSamsung opened the new year with two big releases and, even if they're not the highly anticipated Galaxy S8, they can be the more affordable devices that consumers want. The smartphones will be available for consumers to pre-order starting January 20, 2017.
According to Tech Radar, the two new Samsung Galaxy smartphones are inspired by the Galaxy S7. While they are not as fine as the Galaxy S7, the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 are still good enough with their water-resistant feature and four colors to choose from. The color variants include: Peach Cloud, Gold Sand, Blue Mist, and Black Sky.
Samsung Galaxy A3
Though smaller in size compared to the Samsung Galaxy A5, the A3 is powered with a microSD slot that can take cards with up to 256GB of storage. It also sports an 8MP front camera and a 13 MP back camera, as well as a reversible USB-C port. It has 2,350mAh battery and a 720p Super AMOLED 4.7-inch display.
Samsung Galaxy A5
The Samsung Galaxy A5 is a bigger and better version of the Galaxy A3. It comes with 32GB of storage, 16MP cameras for both the rear and front of the device, and 3,000mAh battery. It also features the fast charging system that most new smartphones these days have.
As for the display, the Galaxy A5 features a full HD 5.2-inch Super AMOLED system. Unlike the Galaxy A3 that only sports 2GB of RAM, the A5 features 3GB of RAM.
Other Features
The latest Samsung Galaxy devices allow consumers to have a better selfie experience since any part of the screen can be touched whenever owners take a selfie. According to WIRED, the display will also serve as a front flash for improved selfie shots.
When Will Fans Get Their Orders?
As mentioned, pre-ordering kicks off January 20 though the given date is only for residents in the U.K. Both the Samsung Galaxy A5 and the Samsung Galaxy A3 will start selling in European areas starting "early February." Those who are lucky enough to make it on the pre-order list will get their Samsung Level Active Wireless Headphones at no cost.
