Naughty Dog has stirred the bee's nest in "The Last of Us 2" and gamers are itching to know the reasons behind Ellie's presumed quest for retribution. Too many questions surround "The Last of Us 2" and this is not limited to theories that Joel died and Ellie is out to wreck havoc as a result.

Neil Druckmann said that "The Last of Us 2" is a story about hate, further escalating the unease. Even so, it is worthy to explore other theories behind her wrath apart from Joel's death. One of these alternate guesses is that Ellie fell in love with a character yet to be introduced. This addendum is going to be killed and Ellie will unleash her fury against the Fireflies.

There is a particular reference in 1:48 of the game's trailer where a poster on the top right section were word "Theseus" reads perfectly. This is in contrast to other posters that are not intelligible and highly blurred. TheWolfHall explained the Greek tragedy that lies behind Theseus and it is partly in reference to a careless hero, lover left behind and a father who died in grief. Could it be that Naughty Dog found an inspiration to adapt Theseus plot in "The Last of Us 2?"

"The Last of Us 2" will remain enigmatic until Naughty Dog decides to unzip its mouth and reveal more. Yet it is a great time playing guessing game about potential plot by dissecting the reveal trailer frame by frame. Of course, deductive abilities similar to that of Sherlock Holmes is needed to formulate theories.

Is Joel really going to die or is it the presumed lover of Ellie? "The Last of Us 2" trailer sports some logo that refers to the Fireflies so Ellie may have infiltrated and killed some of them. Again, this is a guessing game that will surely go on for few more sleepless nights.
