After the severe failure of Galaxy Note 7 phones had in 2016, the South Korea tech giant is well aware of the fact that it definitely needs a winner smartphone model for 2017 to not only retain its place in the smartphone market but also to attract the millions of customers whom the company lost after the exploding Galaxy Note 7 fiasco.
Samsung Galaxy S8 Rumored Specs
Samsung Galaxy S8 leaks indicate that it will be equipped with high-end specs such as 8GB RAM and the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor that is built on Samsung's own 10nm FinFET Process Technology. The flagship device is expected to be equipped with a large 6-inch OLED display without the traditional home button and the usual 3.5 mm headphones jack. It will have the standard fingerprint scanner and other advanced features, as reported by Uber gizmo.

A lot of rumors have been suggesting the Samsung will be launching its Flagship winner device at the Barcelona Mobile World Congress slated to happen on Feb. 2017. Before this launch, the company is doing a lot of primary and secondary tests to ensure that the device does not come up with any battery issue like the Note 7 or any other new issues. The testing for Samsung Galaxy S8 is said to be elaborate than usual as the company does not intend to take any further risks of losing customer base. The good news is Samsung has already completed the first level of tests in China, for both the Galaxy S8 variants, as reported by GSM arena.
Samsung Tests Both Global and Chinese Variants
Reports say that the global version of the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus flagship phones were also being tested in China. Reports said that the two phones run on the software versions G950FXXU0APLH and G955FXXU0APLH respectively. The company is also testing the variants for China namedG9500ZCU0APLF and G9550ZCU0APLF respectively for the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.
S8 "Plus" or S8 "edge"? S-Pen To come Soon!
Samsung Galaxy S8 leaks suggest that as both the variants will be sporting a curved OLED display, it is yet to be unveiled if Samsung is going to call the second variant of the phone as S8 "Plus" or S8 "edge." Rumors also suggest that the company is planning to release an S Pen, the stylus for which users do not have to wait till the release of the Galaxy Note 8 by the end of 2017.
