CES 2017 ASUS VivoPC X reveal had received good reception for the company at the annual tech event. The New VivoPC X is a compact desktop computer that is small yet powerful, even enough sustain incredible virtual reality experience.
Asus VivoPC X Specs, Features: According to reports, the VivoPC X weighs just around five pounds. It has an Intel Core i5 Kaby Lake processor to boot. Among its other smashing features is the NVIDIA GTX 1060, 8GB RAM with 512 GB SSD storage. For the ports, the new Asus VivoPC X is equipped with 4 USB 3.1 ports, 2 USB 2.0 ports and 2 HDMI ports. On top of that, there is a single DisplayPort which is supported for NVIDIA G-Sync.
With these powerful features, its biggest selling point is still its size as it is packed into a chassis that is the same size of an average gaming console. It is designed to be built just beside a TV or in a bedroom. With its smart thermal design, the gaming system routes warm air out of its own sleeves and prevents itself from overheating. Active cooling funnels are used to have a strong heatpipe design.
The VivoPC X is available for anyone to take a closer look at this week at the Asus booth at CES 2017 in Las Vegas, but will become available to purchase starting March and will be priced at $800.
For gamers out there who are looking for a small personal computer that can handle VR well, this is the gadget for the job. It is definitely an interesting choice. However, the release date for the said gaming system is not yet available. What everyone knows, for now, is that the Asus VivoPC X release will be in March and the price of the entire package will be $799 - a price that is apt for a small, VR-ready gaming system.
