Players will come across numerous characters and join them on stimulating quests discovering the world. The game will be available with English, Russian, French, Italian and Spanish subtitles, according to Game Idealist.

In "Tales of Berseria," players embark on a journey as they undertake the role of Velvet, a young woman whose once kind nature was overcome with a decaying anger and hatred brought by a traumatic experience. In the "Tales of Berseria," Velvet will meet many characters, including a young boy named Laphicet. If Velvet is the personification of darkness, then Laphicet is created in the image of light and will be a vital ally to Velvet.

Veteran "Tales of Berseria" character designers like Minoru Iwamoto, Mutsumi Inomata, Kosuke Fujishima, and Daigo Okumura helped create the game's many characters. Ufotable, a renowned Japanese animation studio, animated the game's breathtaking cut-scenes, bringing truly epic and sensitive storytelling. Hervé Hoerdt, vice-president of marketing and digital at Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe notes that the "Tales of Berseria" franchise's history of notable characters, engaging battle systems and personal stories will linger to pleasure fans on PlayStation4 and PC Digital.
