A breast pump is a necessity to moms who want to feed their child with what is considered as the "liquid gold." Although the device is quite helpful, it's still a hassle to hold something for more than 10 minutes or tie one's self in a power outlet while pumping. Fortunately for Willow's smart breast pumps, moms can go about their task normally as they only need to insert the wireless device into their nursing bras.

Engadget had the chance to visit CES and check out their latest tech, the smart breast pump. The device is easy to use and it the motor is gentle enough when placed on the chest. It looks like a teardrop-shaped gadget that which works quietly compared to the other electric breast pumps sold in the market.

To use Willow's smart breast pump, moms just need to insert the cups into the nursing bras, press the intended button for pumping, and use the up and down keys for adjusting the intensity of the sucking. According to The Verge, this can be considered as "Mom's New Best Friend" since it frees the mom's hand to do other things like typing or preparing a meal instead of holding the device. Furthermore, the design makes it look more contemporary and less confusing in comparison with other breast pumps.

Once the milk starts to flow and fill the replaceable bag, Willow smart breast pump will measure the amount of the collected breast milk and send it to the companion iOS app. This is an important factor for parents who want to track the milk they are producing for their child.

Each replaceable attached bags are capable of holding up to four ounces of breast milk which can then be placed inside a freezer. The Willow's breast pump costs around $429 per pair and although it sounds expensive, the price is reasonable and comparable to other breast pumps anyway.
