Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 specs and features

Rumored to be released in October, the Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 may still see HTC as the partner of Google for the handsets' development. Fans and analysts also believe that it may not be possible for HTC to introduce another size for its Pixel release in 2017.

Google could also introduce a waterproof and dustproof design for the Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 since this feature is already a much-needed feature in smartphones. An upgrade from an IP58 to an IPS67 is expected for both handsets.

2K screens for both handsets

Apart from this, Google is anticipated to offer 2K screens for both the Pixel 2 and Pixel XL. Last year, the tech giant only made 2K display available for the Google Pixel XL and many users wanted to see the same technology in the Google Pixel.

Camera improvements

As for its camera, a dual-lens setup could also come with the device especially that other big brands like the iPhone are now offering this type of technology. Some are even venturing into a tri-camera technology nowadays.

Included in the expectations of fans for the Pixel 2 and Pixel XL is an optical image stabilization for its camera. This will help owners of the upcoming phones shoot clearer photos and less shaky videos.

VR technology

Since virtual reality has been widely received in various parts of the globe, it is also believed that the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 may be launched alongside with a 2nd-gen Daydream VR. Are you already looking forward for the release of the next Pixel devices?
