Samsung Has Confirmed One Of Its Gigantic Feature By Accident
Caroline SorianoThere's no confirmed date yet but Samsung Galaxy 8 is expected to come out this early part of 2017. With nothing but speculations, Samsung users are expecting to know more about the upcoming mobile device. It;s exciting, though, to wait as there are several speculations which make waiting a little bit interesting.
One of the most interesting and anticipated rumors about the Samsung Galaxy 8 is its virtual assistant. Although almost every Samsung, particularly Galaxy S users have a clear access to Google's Google Now voice-based assistant, it will still be surprising to know that Samsung is going to take extra miles for its virtual assistant this year. And to make things crazier not only for its users but also to everyone is that the Korean brand has just confirmed it, slashing it out of the rumored list. (via BGR)
Recently, Samsung has added on its website an image which indicates that "Bixby" will uphold Samsung Pay, together with Shopping and Mini. Bixby is the name of Samsung Galaxy 8's assistant according to the former leaks which involve trademark applications from Samsung.
The virtual assistant, Bixby, is a technology developed based on Viv, the company that the Korean brand has recently gained. Viv was established by the people who have produced the famous iPhone voice-based assistant named "Siri."
Meanwhile, SamMobile reported that Samsung Galaxy 8's Bixby will allow its users to transfer money to their families and friends by simply commanding theAI through voice. For example, the user can say "Bixby, send $50 to Caroline," and as expected, the virtual assistant will comply with the request.
With one confirmed, rather than speculated feature, Samsung is expected to create additional noise about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy 8. Furthermore, it might use this mobile as its next flagship after the ill-fated Samsung Galaxy 7, which is involved with explosions. Therefore, to at least cover up the mistakes, the forthcoming Galaxy series should be something "huge" -- something like its AI named Bixby.
