5 Things Gamers Expect From The Nintendo Switch

Cris Xander Juliano

Nintendo is about to announce details of the much-awaited Nintendo Switch, a gaming console that you can play in the living room and then play the exact same game on-the-go. But before they do, here are five things that gamers are expecting from the said announcement, according to a report by T3.

Excellent Battery Life

Nintendo has not revealed any details of the console's battery life, although the company doesn't have a good track record when it comes to that department as the Wii U GamePad only manages three to five hours of gameplay despite the fact that it only gives players a second screen and not playing games in its totality.

1080 Display At Home At least

Nintendo may downsize its resolution to 720p to save battery life but it when the console is connected to the TV, the resolution must be at 1080p. With other gaming consoles migrating to 4K and HDR, the Switch should at least be at standard 1080p.

Great Third-party Support

Nintendo should make deals with third-party game developers and persuade them to create exclusive games to their console. The Switch will be a successful console if there are a lot of games to choose from.

Competitive Price

If Nintendo is able to bring down the price of the switch to a competitive level and with good games backing the console, it will give its competitions a run for their money.

Backwards Compatibility Is A Must

A feature that enables you to play old games on the new console is a must for the Switch and should improve upon it and maybe include GameCube games to its library as a way to bring nostalgia to players of the console.
