"Outlander" Season 3 is definitely much-awaited by their fans. An early release is expected and the production team even sacrificed their holidays just to make sure the filming will be done enough for the thirst of the audience for a new season. Diana Gabaldon revealed in a recent interview the details of the show for next season.

Gabaldon said that "Outlander" Season 3 had to push through and so they cut their supposed six-week Christmas break to just two weeks for the taping of the show. The author wants to move fast so they can finish the filming early as well. As per Gabaldon, the filming is on track and almost half of the season's thirteen episodes have already been filmed, which is just according to plan.

"Outlander" Season 3 may see new scenes in South Africa, as revealed in the said interview. Filming is in Scotland as usual while the Prague and Paris locations were used to depict France's 18th century period. The cast remains to be intact and this year, the main characters are traveling on a ship en route to the Caribbean. As of the moment, no details were revealed as to when the show will be released. Starz will be the one to announce the said date. Meanwhile, the next season's first trailer, as well as, the synopsis are expected to be revealed soon.

Some stills from the Season 3 premiere episode have been leaked as well with the Battle of Culloden in Scotland for Jamie and Claire visible in the photos. Separate storylines for both characters will be revealed at the beginning of the newest season. The highly-anticipated Print Shop scene was also filmed already.

In an interview with Gold Derby, it seems like a new teaser and synopsis is waiting to be released soon. Derby kept mum about the release date and does not want to know when it would air. Reports say that production team is already editing and putting up a teaser trailer at this point in time.

Speculations from fans note that the first trailer and synopsis was released February last year. So, fans are expecting the same will happen this year. A different Claire will make the audience feel unfamiliar about the show once again. The first look of Season 3 has been put up by ET here:
