"Final Fantasy XV" DLC for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 is in the works as confirmed by Square Enix. And before it could even be released, the game developer dropped another good news, saying that they are currently working on unannounced expansion as well.

More details about this upcoming expansion are going to be revealed soon. Siliconera reported that major announcements and other info about the new updates for "Final Fantasy XV" will be relayed through the "Active Time Report New Year Special. The exact date of the special was not mentioned but it says that it will happen ‘in the coming days.'

Moreover, in the latest issue of Famitsu, the Japanese game magazine featured an interview with FFXV director Hajime Tabata. As a game developer, he shared some of his goals for 2017, the eventually revealed some of the plans laid out for the open world RPG game.

What to Expect From Free Updates

The new expansion designed for "Final Fantasy XV" for Xbox One and PS4 are being developed to make the existing gameplay much better. "We will evolve our released game Final Fantasy XV more, and together with it, we will also evolve."

The director further said that the game is undergoing development to prepare it for the coming updates. Plus, Tabata relayed that they are also working on an unannounced expansion and it will be an awesome one.

Prior to this announcement, Square Enix already shared some improvements that can be expected in the series of free updates that they will be releasing throughout the year. On the company's blog, Tabata said that they may present new story scenes that will highlight more facts about the characters.

In addition, players can look forward to new bosses, new achievements and rewards, game modes and new items in the free updates. More playable characters may also arrive later.

Meanwhile, "Final Fantasy XV" Moogle Chocobo Carnival in-game event will begin on Jan. 24 as announced on Twitter. In the same tweet, Square Enix also informed fans that since its launch in November 2016, they have already shipped and sold more than 6 million digital copies of #FFXV.
