Square Enix will be making noise again as the "Final Fantasy" franchise will be celebrating two milestone anniversaries this 2017, especially with the release of "Final Fantasy Remake". They will be commemorating these events.

Polygon has made and released a feature on one of the critically acclaimed and one of the best games ever, which is "Final Fantasy VII". Other than the bonus content in a multitude of releases, "Final Fantasy VII: Remake" may possibly tell the supposed real story behind the "Final Fantasy VII".

"Final Fantasy VII Remake": Final Destination

The death of Aerith Gainsborough was indeed possibly the most controversial death in video game history, as per Polygon's feature on the original game. First, Aeirth's skill-set relied upon holy and light-based skills that makes her a healer and truly one of the most important members of the party.

Her death came off as a shock since her role was integral in the story, which was also apparently considered as the most heartbreaking moment for gamers. However, alongside the other developers of the game, Tetsuya Nomura helped explain the dilemma.

It appears that the producers reportedly wanted to kill more of the original game's main characters. As a matter of fact, the game was supposedly take a "Star Wars: Rogue One" turn, wherein all of main cast were doomed to die.

According to the feature, Nomura just had to prevent the producers from carrying the original plans, which in fact planning to kill everyone. That is except the three characters the player chooses.

It is referring to the last parachute scenario towards Midgar. Nomura even added that it all of them should die from a plane crash as per the original plan. The lead writer Kazushige Nojima proposed Aerith's demise on his own. Everyone else opened up the idea whether every else should die or not as well.

Remake Plans

The original plan, if followed, will either still come as a surprise or would also mean another option of multiple endings. Still is will be a pretty dark turn for Square Enix if this is apparently followed. With regard the multiple endings, this would reportedly get difficult as to the PlayStation 1's limitations making the creators of the "Remake" stick with the released version.
