Super Smash Bros. Heading To The Nintendo Switch, Hints Nintendo Of America
JulianneSince Nintendo announced Nintendo Switch last year, the Japanese gaming company confirmed that they will focused more on multiplayer-based games. However, there has been some problems over that area as Nintendo is still not confirming their most successful multiplayer game, the "Super Smash Bros." for the gaming console.
In an interview with TIME, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime hinted that the fighting game, "Super Smash Bros.", could be heading to Nintendo Switch. FIls-Aime explained that the hybrid console is not intended as a replacement console for the Nintendo 3DS.
Fils-Aime further stated that the Switch first and foremost a home console and Nintendo is still struggling in making consumers happy with the said product. The Nintendo president added that the company will do things with a Nintendo flair, but will also listen to consumer's suggestions.
Fils-Aime's final statement says that the Japanese company will make sure that in the end, the company will have a robust, online environment that not only works with Nintendo games like "Splatoon" and "Mario Kart 8", but also works with third-party games as well.
According to Game Rant, every single Nintendo console released by the gaming company, since Nintendo 64 has been added with an updated "Super Smash Bros." title. However, there is still doubt as to whether the game title will be released to the Switch, ever since Masahiro Sakurai stated that the creator is done with the game.
For the game that relies on constant and ever expanding roster of characters, the threat of diminishing return looms large. So far, many fans or game creator Sakurai himself, would be happy to see all the game title's characters remastered for the Switch.
However, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime is still not confirming the release date of "Super Smash Bros." for the hybrid console. But based on the interview, many believed that Fils-Aime is teasing fans and plans a surprise release for the game title.
