“Vikings” Season 4 Episode 19 will reportedly be all about the battle between Aethelwuff and King Ecbert. Reports about this particular plot line surfaced following the sequence of evens in the latest episode.

As pointed out by Movie News Guide, the previous episode on “Vikings” displayed sequences that hinted at an upcoming huge battle. The sons of Ragnar exhausted all efforts at attacking King Aelle. Although it may seem like the climax of a major story arc, multiple news sources have pointed out that this only the beginning. After King Aelle, they will reportedly deal with King Ecbert next.

“Vikings” Season 4 had a brutal turn of events this past week. The previous episode had the title, “Revenge,” which was very fitting as the Great Heathen Army sailed forth for Northumbria. In some respects, the events that took place in that particular “Vikings” Season 4 episode marked the end of a story that dates back to the first time that Ragnar Lothbrok sailed across the sea.

“Vikings” Season 4 writer, Michael Hirst, revealed to Entertainment Weekly that he “had not really thought” about where Ragnar’s body has gone. When Ragnar’s sons looked into the said character’s grave, his body could not be found.

“You might interpret it as, ‘He has risen again from the dead!’” Hirst said. “I hear it has fuelled quite a debate on social media, people speculating that Ragnar will come back and he is not really dead - which is, I think, quite a lot of wishful thinking!”

With regard to the upcoming epic battle between the Great Heathen Army and the Saxons, Hirst has revealed that “everything ramps up.” “Nothing prepares you for how amazing the battle sequences are,” he continued. “These are truly awesome battle sequences. Beneath that, there is a huge amount of emotional life. Death comes to important people.”
