Most of the kids who grew up in the '80s and '90s have heard of Lisa Frank. No matter where you lived in the world, the artist's neon-colored rendition of cute animals adorned stickers, notebooks, bags, and other items stood out in stores. Now, it has been revealed that a Lisa Frank movie is being planned.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a "live-action/animation hybrid feature based on the artwork of businesswoman Lisa Frank is now in development." The famed artist is collaborating with producer Jon Shestack ("Air Force One," "Dan in Real Life," "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past"). Kids and even adults are still enamored with her adorable art, which portrays everything from cute pets, animals, food, dolphins, and rainbows.

Frank elatedly shared, "I have always wanted to do a feature film that brings the world of Lisa Frank to life." She continued, "We have so much backstory on our characters and they have been alive in my imagination since the beginning."

Shestack also talked about how excited he was to work on the upcoming movie. He said, "Lisa Frank's world is cheerful, it's optimistic, it's hip, but it is without snark." The producer concluded, "It's just sort of impossible to scowl when you're smiling, and why would you want to? I'm so stoked to be part of this."

While not much is known yet about the plot for the upcoming Lisa Frank movie, Variety has revealed that producer Shestack has recently worked on "Before I Fall." The film's cast includes Zoey Deutch ("Vampire Academy," "Rebel in the Rye"), Halston Sage ("The Bling Ring," "Paper Towns"), Logan Miller ("Take Me to the River," "Night Moves"), Kian Lawley ("The Chosen," "Shovel Buddies"), Jennifer Beals ("Catch That Kid," "Troubled Waters"), Diego Boneta ("Rock of Ages," "City of Dead Men"), and Elena Kampouris ("Labor Day," "The Cobbler"). The film "Before I Fall" is based on the book of the same name by Maria Maggenti, which is about Samantha Kingston who dies and relives her death ala "Groundhog Day" until she either accepts her fate.
