The extension talks for "The Big Bang Theory" season 11 is still in limbo as no official announcements have been made as to the current state of the negotiation. However, despite the fact that avid fans of the hit CBS comedy sitcom may not see another season of "The Big Bang Theory", they can take solace in the idea that they might be seeing more of Sheldon Cooper.

According to reports, Jim Parsons who plays Dr. Sheldon Cooper in "The Big Bang Theory" will be an executive producer in the currently being developed spinoff based on his character in the hit comedy sitcom. Parsons also hinted that the Sheldon Cooper spinoff will be very different from the CBS comedy show.

In an interview with ET, Parsons stated that doing a Sheldon Cooper "The Big Bang Theory" spinoff was a no brainer given the rich history that the writers of "TBBT" have already given to his character. The spinoff will reportedly explore the formative years of the genius physicist, growing up as a child prodigy in Texas and being reared by an Evangelical mother.

Parsons also revealed that the Sheldon Cooper spinoff may target much younger audience group. No reports as to who will play the young Sheldon Cooper have been made. However, Parsons already advised whoever takes on the role to take how he portrayed the character as little as possible and make the character his own.

Jim Parsons will also be busy in a new radio program "Jim Parsons is too Stupid for Politics", sparking rumors that he would like to concentrate more on other things outside the hit CBS sitcom. Time will tell if Parsons' busy schedule will affect the contract negotiation of "The Big Bang Theory" Season 11.
