Huawei P10 Price Could Be A Worry; Dual Rear Camera, Dual-Curved Touchscreen & Minimal Bezels Tipped
Ritwik RoyThe Huawei P10 is debuting at the Mobile World Congress 2017 on Feb. 27. Invites have been sent, promising latest innovations and electrifying advances. However, all these will come at a cost, and a hefty one. The Chinese smartphone-maker is increasing the price of its flagship like never before.
In fact, it is going to be the most-expensive Huawei flagship ever. Huawei toppled Samsung in 2016 to emerge as the most profitable Android OEM. Analysts expect the company to continue its dream run in 2017 though the "expensive" P10 price tag can be a worry.
According to Tech Times, the Huawei P10 price has been leaked by mobile device tipster Ricciolo. He took to Twitter to break the news though the tweet was a bit weird.
"Let alone the #porsche design, get ready for the most #expensive P device ever #Huawei #mwc17 #crazy prices," the Twitter post read.
At this stage, this post should be taken with a pinch of salt. Tech enthusiasts are speculating that the cost of the Huawei P10 may even surpass the prices of Huawei P9 and P9 Plus. The P9 was launched with a price tag of $640 and the P9 Plus cost $800. As the tweet also refers to "Porsche," the company may include the Mate 9 Porsche design in the mix. This may take the price of the P10 to as much as $1,500 or even more. It will be most-interesting to see what has made Huawei command such a price for its flagship.
One possible reason could be the camera engineered by Leica. Earlier leaks had suggested a second-generation Leica camera. However, this cannot be the only reason for the sharp price. Meanwhile, fans are also in the dark as the where Huawei will place the P10 fingerprint scanner. Recent leaks have proved to be pretty confusing as some have shown the scanner at the rear while other at the front.
According to GSMArena, leaked renders have shown the Huawei P10 to be coming with minimal bezels, dual-curved touchscreen and dual rear camera arrangement. Laser autofocus and dual-LED flash are also expected. Stay tuned on Mobile & Apps for more updates on the Huawei P10 smartphone.
