Along with the live release of "League of Legends" patch 7.2, Riot Games has already released teaser trailers and images for the PBE patch 7.3. We're getting a Blood Moon this time around and the event promises four beautiful new skins and a creepier version of Summoners' Rift.

New Skins. Four characters are getting new skins for the League of Legends Blood Moon event. Diana, Twisted Fate, Jhin and Talon are all decked out in deep crimson clothing and Oni masks. Rift Herald said that the skins were based off Japanese Oni, hence, another unifying theme other than the color.

The origin behind this particular event is said to be based off a festival in Ionia. The people hold a celebration of sorts to cleanse their fear. According to PVP Live, this update was wholly unexpected given its drastic contrast to the usually serene look of Summoners' Rift.

Summoners' Rift Gets Darker. As PVP Live puts it, an early autumn has settled over Summoners' Rift. And, as expected, the blood moon has everything tinged red and shadowy, giving  "League of Legends" the perfect spooky setting. No word yet as to whether the layout has changed drastically or if new areas have been added. So far, it looks like the only major change to the map is purely aesthetical.

Patch 7.2 and 7.3. "League of Legends" patch 7.2 has just gone live as of 3AM this Wednesday, January 25. It included some major rework for Warwick, some balance changes in the form of buffs for Akali, Gragas, Lulu and more including nerfs for Darius and Katarina.

The "League of Legends" Blood Moon patch 7.3 is now live for the Public Beta Environment. YouTubers have already begun posting gameplay and footage videos. Check out the video below to see Blood Moon Diana in action.
