Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Spotted On GFXBench [VIDEO]; Snapdragon 820, 4GB Of RAM & Other Specs Revealed
Vinay PatelAlthough the Galaxy Tab S3 has been subject to a slew of rumors and leaks, credible details about Samsung's upcoming high-end tablet are few and far between.
The Galaxy Tab S3 continues to stay shy of the market, but the slate has now surfaced on the database of GFXBench, hinting at its looming launch. The GFXBench listing spilled the beans about the upcoming device's specs, which shows Samsung is leaving no stone unturned in their bid to equip the Tab S3 with relatively high-end configuration.
The Galaxy Tab S3 (SM-T820 and SM-T825) listed in GFXBench packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and 4GB of RAM under the hood. Moreover, the device will sport a mammoth 9.6-inch display coupled with 2048 x 1536 resolution.
Interestingly, a lot of Galaxy Tab S3's specs seem identical to Samsung's flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S7. As expected, this resemblance stirred conversations among tech buffs who are now clamoring for a dual-curved display for the new tablet. If this comes to fruition it will make the Tab S3 an unparalleled tablet in the market.
In the photography front, the device will sport a 12MP primary camera outfitted with LED flash and a 5MP front shooter for the selfie addicts. No prizes for guessing, the Galaxy Tab S3 will ship with latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS (operating system) on board, PhoneArena reported.
Nevertheless, the Tab S can be expected to be nothing short of a power performer. After been certified for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, Samsung is now testing the purported slate for benchmarks.
Regrettably, the device will not arrive with the Snapdragon 820 in India. The Tab S3 is rumored to come with Exynos 8890 instead. This is hardly surprising considering the fact that the Indian variant of Galaxy S7 features Exynos 8890 as well. But fret not, it is still one the best processors currently up for grabs in the market.
The Galaxy Tab S3 series will be officially announced at MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2017 which kicks off late February. Samsung has neither confirmed nor denied any of the aforesaid details, meaning, this should be taken with a grain of huge salt.
