The second half of 2017 looks to be promising for Apple enthusiasts as there's a high chance there'll be three new iPad releases this year. Aside from the rumored new 10.5-inch sized tablet and another new 9.7-inch variant iPad, sources say the Apple iPad Pro 2 will be slated for release later this year, around the same time. More sources also hint at some interesting new features for the Apple iPad Pro 2, including the upcoming Apple Pencil 2.

Simultaneous Release With iOS 10.3. According to MStars News, Apple iPad Pro 2's launch is expected to coincide with the release of the iOS 10.3, around Mid-March or early April this year. PC Advisor, on the other hand, is leaning more towards a solid March release for both the latest iOS and the iPad Pro 2. While waiting for official confirmation, a March 2017 release remains pure speculation.

Apple Pencil 2. Reports indicate that the Apple Pencil 2 is expected to come packaged with the Apple iPad Pro 2. Fans of the original stylus are in for a treat, as the rumors and speculations around the newest Apple Pencil model hint at some sort of magnetic-attachment dynamic between the stylus and the device.

Another possible design feature will allow users clip the Apple Pencil 2 to pockets, as they would a real pen. Mac World also mentions that the Apple Pencil 2 may get integrated into the Smart Connector to allow for wireless charging.

12GB, A10X Processor. Other speculated features include possible 12GB of storage and a faster processor called the A10X. As the launch is supposedly simultaneous with the release of the iOS 10.3, it is expected that the iPad Pro 2 will be running the latest supported version.

Other speculations around the Apple iPad Pro 2 suggest it will be dust- and water-resistant, as evidenced by its recent IP67 rating under the IEC standard 60529. Additional information around this has yet to be released, but sources suggest it's highly plausible.
