Bethesda recently unraveled a brand new expansion dubbed as "The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind" for the hit online role-playing video game (RPG). The latest expansion also marks the debut of Vvardenfell in the game, allowing players to delve into the emblematic environment from "The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind."

The game developer Zenimax Online Studio and publisher Bethesda confirmed that the new expansion to "The Elder Scrolls Online" would let players explore locations of Morrowind. "Elder Scrolls Online Morrowind" was announced Tuesday, Jan. 31.

'Elder Scrolls Online Morrowind' Release Date, Price & Other Details

It's worth noting that until now, players were able to only access specific regions of the continent of Morrowind and this would be the first time they get an opportunity to journey to Vvardenfell itself. "The Elder Scrolls Online" is set eons ahead of Morrowind and will allow players to take a gander at the awe-inspiring settings in the time of its heyday.

While new players can get their hands on the latest expansion as well as the base game together by shelling out $59.99, those who already have a copy of the Tamriel Unleashed edition of the title can get the expansion, which is slated to release on June 6, for $39.99, according to Kotaku.

This is not the first time "The Elder Scrolls Online" has added locations and storyline via DLC. The title brought Orc city of Orsinium a couple of years ago and just last year it added the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood to the game.

Moreover, the latest expansion will comprehensively add a new player class to "The Elder Scrolls Online." The Warden along with his cute but dangerous bear companion will fight with the help of some earth-based magic.

Different Editions of Morrowind & Upcoming Events

There will be four different iterations of Morrowind for players to get at launch:

Standard Edition
Upgrade Edition
Collector's Edition
Physical Collector's Edition

There are four big events for "Elder Scrolls Online" in the offing this year. This includes Homestead, "Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind," A dungeon-based DLC in Q3 2017 and a content-based DLC in Q4 2017.
