'Diablo 3 Rise Of The Necromancer' Details: Blood Golem's Return Confirmed; No Special Form For Necromancer, Female Necromancer Revealed Next?
Rei Lantion'Diablo 3: Rise of the Necromancer' may be perhaps the most awaited DLC this year. While all of the fans are desperate to know the release date, Blizzard isn't ready to reveal that information.
In their live Q&A last January 26, Lead Effects artist Julian Love and Senior Game Designer Travis Day revealed a little of what players could expect for the D3 Necromancer class. Some interesting details have been revealed.
Blood Golem Returns. Senior Game Designer Travis Day pretty much confirmed that the Blood Golem would be returning to the Necromancer's list of undead allies in D3. "Julian actually showed off one that was a work-in-progress at Blizzcon, with the Blood Golem," Day said in the livestream. "Because he's freaking cool, so we're going to bring him forward."
According to Game Rant, the "Diablo 3 Necromancer" will have four or five different golems. During the live Q&A session, Day revealed that they had three golems already worked out, and that there was "room for one or two more."
As far as the different Golem types are concerned, more details are expected to be released over the coming month. Day says they're not bringing forward all the D2 Golems people may be used to. But they promise that the ones they're currently working on are exciting.
Female Necromancer. Another highly-anticipated aspect of this DLC is the female Necromancer. According to Lead Effects artist Julian Love, they originally started designer her character back when plans for this expansion were already made.
They didn't have anything ready to show during Blizzcon or the live Q&A but Love encourages players to stay tuned over the next few months. Players may be seeing the female Necromancer sooner than expected.
No "Special Form" for the Necromancer? Other classes have "special forms," such as Archon for the Wizard and Wrath of the Berserker for the Barbarian. However, unlike the other classes, the Necromancer may not get a similar skill.
According to Love, they "don't have any plans of doing anything like that right now," for the Necromancer. Thankfully, the Necromancer will still start with four sets like the others but no further details regarding that were discussed.
Other information regarding the new character class in "Diablo 3: Rise of the Necromancer" was revealed, including the possible return of Skeleton Mages and Skeleton Archers to the characters' undead army. They also mentioned that a "melee-mancer" build was possible, stating that they wanted to make a close-ranged fighter/Necromancer option available.
