Niantic is expected to come up with a mega "Pokemon GO" Valentine's Day event on Feb. 14 or a few days before that. Details about the event are still sketchy and most of them are speculations at this stage. Niantic has celebrated major holidays such as Halloween, Christmas and New Year with "Pokemon GO" events. The last one introduced incubators, catching starters and more chances to hatch Gen 2 babies among others. Fans believe that the Valentine's Day event will bring with it Pokemon breeding and gendered Pokemon.

According to NEUROGADGET, the "Pokemon GO" Valentine's Day event may allow players to breed as many Pokemon as possible but belonging to certain species since catching certain species of Pokemon is based on random spawn. This will give players to increase their Pokemon collection belonging to a certain species. Moreover, an Eevee-based update is also expected during the Valentine's Day event. Eevee is created with the help of a "friendship" element. It becomes friendlier when used by a trainer without getting knocked out.

"Pokemon GO" players are also expecting gender introduction during the Valentine's Day update. Chansey is an example of a Gen 1 Pokemon with a gender. The update is also expected to bring with it a love-based theme, possibly in the clothing department. Niantic is yet to reveal details of the "Pokemon GO" Valentine's Day event. Meanwhile, it has also been reported that new PokeStops and Poke Gyms are coming to "Pokemon GO" via a new update. Trainers have already noticed new PokeStops popping out and some of their usual stops have been converted into Gyms.

Target and Starbucks PokeStops have been turned into Gyms. Express believes new PokeStops will be added in rural areas too. Players are curious if these changes are part of a greater plan by Niantic. Stay tuned on Mobile & Apps for more updates on "Pokemon GO."
