'Dark Souls III' Final Content 'The Ringed City' DLC Will Give Players A Hard Time Finishing The Game; Here's Why
Dannel Picaccio Camille Perez Lozano"Dark Souls III" creator Bandai Namco has unveiled new feats, screenshots and gameplay details for the medieval role-playing game, most particularly for the last downloadable expansion. This points to the critically anticipated "The Ringed City" DLC.
According to Gematsu, "The Ringed City" will be the last DLC pack for "Dark Souls III," wherein players will come across unfamiliar territory, new bosses, threats with new armor, items and magic. Fans can expect a perilous trip through both recognizable and new lands to the "world's end." Players will also see the remains of the lands many ages prior as they search the Ringed City. More importantly, they will finally encounter the ending of the whole "Dark Souls III" tale.
Players will need to equip themselves with the newer weapons and sturdy armor sets to get across the new bosses and opposition. There will be items for players to acquire throughout the adventure, with new spells to cast when most needed. Gamers can also play in full cooperation or put their skills through challenges in the player-versus-player (PvP) maps, which will be added to the Hollow Arena from "Ashes of Ariandel."
The "Dark Souls III" PvP maps are said to be made accessible to players who bought "Ashes of Ariandel" or "The Ringed City," or both. There will be significant improvement in the online matchmaking functionality, as well.
As some may be curious how "The Ringed City" DLC fares, a recent review by GameSpot talks about the difficulty encountered with the said content. Overall, "The Ringed City" is said to be focused on new and intense enemy classes; one in particular may take more than one attempt to kill. It will be quite a challenge under a time limit, especially as the answers to most of the trials undergo a trial-and-error phase.
The "Dark Souls III" final DLC update is scheduled to hit the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on March 28, 2017. Stay tuned for updates.
