“Mass Effect: Andromeda” will be out on March 23, 2017, but it has already been among the most talked-about games on the Internet. Moreover, its developer, Electronic Arts, is already confident about its launch. Although the company has seemingly not invested so much for bringing hype up, it has predicted that the game will sell approximately three million copies in its first week.
According to Gamepur, such result could be likely, considering that BioWare is releasing “Mass Effect: Andromeda” on all major gaming platforms - namely, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One - simultaneously.
Details about “Mass Effect: Andromeda” were revealed in the March issue of PC Gamer UK. Fortunately for “Mass Effect: Andromeda” fans, producer Mike Gamble gave away some key information about how the game’s campaign will play out.
As stated in the publication, “Mass Effect: Andromeda” will have more than a dozen “hubs” and planet areas. Two examples of these new in-game planets are Kadara, a planet that features a combination of the Wild West and cyberpunk themes, and Nexus, which is a Citadel-like space station.
Unlike the game’s predecessors, “Mass Effect: Andromeda” will not have any main villains. Without the Reapers - or any form of overarching threat - the game is expected to feature a more optimistic tone. They want to “tell stories of exploration,” as well as “stories of a more casual nature.” “We definitely want to take on a bit of a lighter tone, for sure,” Gamble said.
Gamble and the rest of the “Mass Effect: Andromeda” team were also focused on developing each one of the made-up planets featured in the game. They decided that each one must have its own story and reason for existence.
Although there will be squad members, Gamble revealed that “Mass Effect: Andromeda” is “not only about the cast.” “The story is about settling,” he added. “The story is about survival. The story is about the locals. That is where the loyalties will definitely focus.”
