Samsung's flagship model Galaxy S3 is still flying off the shelves, and the company has announced that it will be available in various colors.
Samsung confirmed that the Galaxy S3 will soon be available in Amber Brown, Garnet Red, Sapphire Black, and Titanium Grey. Currently, the smartphone is available in Pebble Blue and Marble White. Samsung's blogpost indicates that "GALAXY SIII is designed for humans and inspired by nature" and the color variants are derived from man's relationship with nature. The back cover of the colored variants of the smartphone will be made of Hyperglaze and will create the illusion of dual colors.
Samsung describes the multitude color variants on its blogpost as follows.
Samsung describes the color as an inspiration from the gem, amber. "The deep, rich colour of Amber Brown redefines the classic colour and emphasizes the beauty of the advanced organic design of the GALAXY S III," notes the blog post.
Garnet Red is spurred from the gemstone Almandite Garnet. "Garnet Red holds the delicateness and elegance of Almandite Garnet, in line with the GALAXY S III's soft curves and smooth lines," states the official blog. This color variant is currently exclusive to AT&T in the U.S.
The smartphone giant describes this version as a "deep sophistication of the colour black, Sapphire Black is inspired by the stones used by the ancient people of India and Persia for protection, with the belief they strengthened one's willpower." Recently, rumors had surfaced that Samsung would be releasing a black variant of its hugely popular smartphone.
Samsung indicates that Titanium Grey is stimulated by the color grey as "a symbol for intelligence, insight and curiosity, all of which are embodied within the design of the GALAXY S III. Titanium Grey expresses the feeling of modernity and wisdom bringing a futuristic element to the handset."
The South Korean smartphone maker also indicated that the availability of the Galaxy S3's color will depend on country and the network carrier. Although, the colors of the future Galaxy S3 have been confirmed, information regarding the price or release date for the upcoming color variants has not been announced.
Time will tell if adding colors to the Galaxy S3 will increase the smartphone's attractiveness and take it to new heights.
