Evidences are starting to show that the Apple's next-generation iPad Air 3 release date is coming as the previous model's stocks have been dwindling from multiple retail stores according to a report by Mobipicker.

It was learned that online retailers such as Amazon, Staples and Best Buy don't have any stocks on hand of the iPad Air 2. Same goes for MacMall that declared the device no longer available. On the other hand, you may still order the device through Apple's online store although you need to wait until the end of February for your order to arrive, particularly the 32GB variant.

This has been Apple's past trends when the company is planning to release new products which mean it's highly possible that the iPad Air 3 release date could be in the near future.

It's pretty obvious that the upcoming device will feature upgraded hardware. The iPad Air 3 is rumored to sport the A9 processor chip, the same processor used that powers the iPhone 6S. In addition, the device is also rumored to have several new features including an expanded OS support for the Apple Pencil 2.

The Apple Pencil 2 will allow users to write down comments and notes on several different apps such as iMessage, Mail and Safari. It's also rumored that the stylus will come with an attached magnet that allows the same to easily cling onto the device's metallic sides.

It's speculated that the iPad Air 3 will come in two variants, a 9.7-inch model that is priced around $499 and a more expensive 10.5-inch model.

Stay tuned for more updates! Do you think the release of the iPad Air 3 will be coming sooner than later? Write and share your thoughts on the comments section down below.
