More live events will be expected for "Pokemon GO" along with the launch of the PvP mode and Pokemon Trading System. This came from Niantic CEO John Hanke in a recent interview.

"Pokemon GO" has experienced undeniable success. "Pokemon GO" has reached the $1billion profit threshold at a record pace making it the fastest mobile game to cross the line.

The global success that "Pokemon GO" experienced also has its set back, which Niantic's John Hanke referred to as welcome problems. The overwhelming number of "Pokemon GO" players caused the company to put much of its resources in trying to keep the AR game running.

Much of the resources of the company has been devoted to bug fixing and patching in the first few months after the "Pokemon GO" launch. This has hampered the company from developing other parts of the game.

Though the company is able to roll out the occasional "Pokemon GO" events, a number of fans are still craving for more. "Pokemon GO" fans have been pushing Niantic to introduce more Pokemon in the game.

In an interview with waypoint, Hanke has revealed that some of the updates that fans really want to see are on they way. The Niantic CEO said that "Pokemon GO" PvP, trading system and live events will soon be released.

"It's going to be done soon," Harke said in the interview. The Niantic Boss also revealed that one of these features could have already been released during the "Pokemon GO" launch but it was held back by sketchy servers. The report also hinted that the long-awaited release of Gen 2 Pokemon may already be underway.

The new features, according to Hanke, will be released in an abbreviated form. This is because Niantic is still working on the complete versions of the "Pokemon GO" updates. Niantic is also planning to launch global scale "Pokemon GO" events this 2017.
