Xbox owners, rejoice! Xbox Live's Multiplayer Access event, which kicked off Feb. 16 and is slated to run through Sunday, Feb. 19, will be allowing Xbox 360 and Xbox One owners to play online regardless of whether or not they have the Xbox Live Gold.

There are also a couple of time unlocks including "Rocket League" and "NBA 2K17." In other words, players can delve into the aforesaid titles without having to shell out a dime until Sunday.

Those who are already Gold subscribers are not been given the cold shoulder either as they are eligible to grab a couple of more games with Gold. Bandai Namco's hit motor racing simulator video game, "Project Cars" will be up for grabs until March 15, while for those who own the Xbox 360.

In addition, "The Force Unleashed" will be free until Feb. 28. It's worth noting that "The Force Unleashed" is backwards compatible as well, which makes it a must-play title for Xbox One owners, according to IGN.

As far as those who still haven't got their hands on what many deem as the best multiplayer game of current console generation, free "Rocket League" is an ideal weekend-fodder. The game's unique premise catapults it to unparalleled popularity. The title boasts colorful physics-based gameplay that centers on two teams of rocket-powered cars trying to outrace the other, "Rocket League" tasks players with achieving the most goals on a slew of colossal football pitches.

Unlike other free offerings this weekend, "NBA 2K17" is not really breaking new ground, according to Engadget. With the real world NBA recently teaming up with "NBA 2K" video game series developer, Take Two to acquire its own eSports team inspired by the game, this could be an opportunity for several players to make it as a pro gamer.

"Rocket League" and "NBA 2K17" are both up for grabs on Xbox Live. While players will have to shell out $15 for "Rocket League," "NBA 2K17" will be sold for $39. So, those who like what they see this weekend can always acquire them on the cheap as soon as the free period comes to an end.
