'GTA 5' Latest News: GTA 5 Mod Enraged New South Wales Police While Local Media Hype Up The Story
Keisuke Akio"GTA 5" LSPDFR mod has earned the ire of the New South Wales Police. In addition, local news channels feasted on the story and tend to hype things up.
An Australian channel recently aired a story showing off the exceptionally in-depth fan-made mod for "GTA 5," known as the Los Santos Police Department First Response (LSPDFR) mod. A video revealed someone streaming "GTA 5" LSPDFR with an NSW police mod installed. There are several scenes in the footage shown where the player shoots suspects as a cop. Most part of the video, however, revealed just the usual non-violent actions in the game.
The news played the shooting scenes on air over and over saying, "These are New South Wales police officers as you have never seen them before. Crushing cars, shooting suspects and getting run over." Eventually, the video clarifies that what is shown is just a mod, then gave a short explanation that is bound to go over the heads of their target audience. This was followed by another footage where three news anchors tried to explain the video and gave their opinions. GTA 5 Cheats noted that those three people then discussed the video and said things to a topic that they have no clue at all. The site added that the news anchors were just reading from scripts written by someone also clueless about the topic. The site went on saying that those news anchors called "GTA 5," a hack.
In a recent article published by Heatstreet, they reported that the NSW state police have condemned the "GTA 5" LSPDFR mod and they are actively looking for the game's designer to take action. Some media outlets are calling the "GTA 5" LSPDFR mod as underground. The term seems to imply that there is a sense of criminality to the mod. Anybody, however, could simply download this mod from a trusted website.
Meanwhile, in a report by Daily Mail, NSW police minister Troy Grant said that the "GTA 5" LSPDFR mod gives the player an inaccurate impression about the role of the police. He raised some concerns that the game could give a different impression to the public about the dangers policemen face in the line of doing their jobs.
