The "Dirt Rally" DLC PSVR support is now open on all the off-road racers, allowing PlayStation 4 users to experience the popular driving game with a whole new level of immersion. The PlayStation VR version of "Dirt Rally" offers players a fully immersive off-road experience and allows them to hop into the driving seat of all available cars and enjoy all routes and disciplines that make up the "Rally" experience.

PSVR Support & New Co-Driver Mode

According to Destructoid, unlike the other VR DLC updates that have been released for other pre-PSVR games, this one makes the entire game playable in virtual reality -- not just a single mode. The "Dirt Rally" VR update also has some PS4 Pro enhancements and a new "Co-Driver" mode. This lets player two to help steer player one on the course, although without a VR headset.

It works like to a rhythm game wherein player two will be pressing buttons that correspond with the direction the driver should turn. Those with a PS4 Pro will see unspecified visual enhancements when playing with PSVR. This is exclusive to the VR mode -- there won't be any difference playing the standard game on a Pro.

More Realism With A Cost

Owners of the base game will need to cough up an additional $12.99 to experience "Dirt Rally" with more realism. GameSpot reports that the game is now on sale on the PSN to $30 (or $24 if player is a PlayStation Plus member).

If gamer is looking to pick up both the game and the new VR DLC, there's also a bundle worth $70 that's currently on sale for $43 ($37 with Plus). This comprises the base game, the VR DLC, and three other DLC packs that cost $2 a piece on their own. Those each give access to an upgraded version of a car with a special design. Stay tuned for more updates.
