It has been a while since the news update on "Prison Break" season 5 and fans from all over the world are eagerly waiting to see Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) and his team back in action. But, what they might not know is that the Scofield they are expecting may not be the same one.

In the "Prison Break" season 5 Super Bowl Commercial, we get a glimpse of a conversation between Dr. Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies) and Scofield's son about what his dad was like. Tancredi's statement compared Scofield to a storm which appears suddenly and then disappears as quickly. On further inquiry from their son regarding whether storms return or not - Sara answers by saying that if they do, are they the same storm or not.

By the looks of the statement, it is predictable that Scofield is already back, but doesn't seemingly feel like the same person anymore. Who knows what he has been through that made him change himself to a different person. In addition as cited by iDigital Times, Scofield has an active brain tumor in the "Prison Break" season 5 installment which could be a reason behind his changed behavior and what not.

Fans do rejoice on the revival of the "Prison Break" series, but might not be happy on learning that there are only going to be 9 episodes in the installment. But on speaking to Miller, he noted fans that they should keep their hopes high for more episodes as well as seasons. He further added in his statement that "Prison Break" season 5 and beyond all depend on the viewers.

This makes it clear that despite an official number of 9 episodes for the fifth season of "Prison Break" series, there is consideration for more episodes and a new season if fans love it. For the time being, fans can show their support for the series when it airs on April 4th, 2017.
