‘Ghost Recon: Wildlands’ Open Beta: Progress Won’t Carry Over To Full Game, But Weapons, Skins & Rewards Will
Arianne GiftThose who are part of the "Ghost Recon: Wildlands" Open Beta and are wondering what good will come out of it have two things two remember: first is that you can bring over some stuff into the full game. Second, there are things that are best left in the wilds of Itacua.
The "Ghost Recon: Wildlands" Open Beta includes two of the 21 maps that will be opened upon its release, Itacua and Montuyoc. However, Open Beta players should take note that the progress won't carry over to the full release.
This has been also clarified by Ubisoft in its FAQs, in which the company said that players are to have a fresh start once "Ghost Recon: Wildlands" launches. However, this doesn't undermine the fact that a lot can be experienced from the Open Beta.
As Ubisoft previously announced on Twitter, playing the "Ghost Recon: Wildlands" Open Beta gets players the Unidad Conspiracy reward. It includes three exclusive missions placed in the Media Luna region once the game is released.
Rewards will also be handed out to "Ghost Recon: Wildlands" Open Beta players and those who have made into the previous Closed Beta. To claim the rewards, players need to trade in points that they've earned throughout the Open Beta.
Units or points can be earned by completing special missions or certain feats. Earn these points and check out the Ubisoft Club to see what you can redeem. It's also to come to the attention of some "Ghost Recon: Wildlands" Open Beta players that items they've redeemed are not showing in their loadout-yet. If you're wondering where the weapons and costumes you've redeemed are, a Ubisoft staff confirmed at the Ubisoft forums that all redeemed weapons and equipment would only be available during the full game.
The full Tom Clancy's "Ghost: Recon Wildlands" game releases March 7, 2017, on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The open world tactical shooter game is in development by Ubisoft Paris.
