OnePlus has recently announced the launching of its limited edition Midnight Black variant. This latest color variant of the flagship phone is now available online.

On Monday, OnePlus collaborated with French retailer Colette to launch the release of the limited edition OnePlus 3T Midnight Black variant. The smartphone was then available for sale at a single store in Paris and only 250 units were available. Today, however, the company is making purchases for this variant a little easier. Right now, OnePlus 3T Midnight Black variant is available online.

The latest OnePlus 3T Midnight Black available online right now dropped the Colette logo that can be found at the back of the phone. This variant is a total blackout version of the recently released OnePlus 3T. It can be recalled that the device was adjudged as one of the best smartphones released in 2016, which comes with 128GB of internal storage and 6Gb of RAM.

OnePlus 3T Midnight Black is available at the same price of $479 just like the standard gun metal version of the device. However, this offer is only for a limited time at OnePlus and Hype beasts online pop-up stores. This variant will be available to the public on March 24 at 1 PM EDT. There are only 250 units that will be available on that specified date.

According to the company, they went to great lengths to be able to arrive at their ideal black finish laid out on the device. In addition, OnePlus claimed to have tried 30 color iterations and have used 14 microns thick and three carefully applied dark coatings. This is to preserve the natural feel and look of metal. After that, the phone underwent two sandblasting treatments. Then an anti-fingerprint layer was placed to keep its clean look, reported The Verge.

Meanwhile, the company recently rolled out the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update for the OnePlus 3 and 3T. So far, these smartphones are the only devices outside Google to roll out such update. Alongside this update is the enhanced electronic stabilization system for recording videos.
