Huawei MediaPad T3, MediaPad T3 7 Tablets Goes Official Without Much Fanfare [VIDEO]
Vinay PatelTablets were all the rage a few years ago; however, their popularity lost luster amidst the advent of latest technology in smartphones. Undeterred by this, Huawei has listed two new tablets on its website bearing the moniker, MediaPad T3 and T3 7.
Huawei has divulged all details about the MediaPad T3 and MediaPad T3 7 tablets in the devices' official listing except their price and availability. Multiple sources; however, have been pointing to a looming launch for the new MediaPad tablets.
MediaPad T3 Specifications
The Huawei MediaPad T3 comes with an 8-inch (1280x800) IPS display. A quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 (MSM8917) SoC fires up the MediaPad T3, under the hood. The processor is clocked at 1.4GHz. Moreover, it packs 2GB of 3GB of RAM and will be up for grabs in 16GB and 32GB of storage options, according to the device's official description on the company's website.
The MediaPad T3 has a 5MP autofocus camera on the back and a 2MP fixed focus camera. The EMUI 5.1 based tablet is backed by a robust 4800mAh battery and offers a slew of connectivity options including Wi-Fi, GLONASS, and GPS/ A-GPS.
As far as color options are concerned, the MediaPad T3 will be available in Luxurious Gold and Space Grey colors. The MediaPad T3's dimensions are 211x124.6x7.9mm and it weighs in at 350 grams, according to Gadgets 360.
MediaPad T3 7 Specifications
The smaller iteration of the MediaPad T3, known as the MediaPad T3 7 sports a 7-inch IPS display with 1024x600 pixels resolution. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek (MT8127) clocked at 1.3GHz, and comes with 1GB RAM + 8GB storage option. There will be another 2GB RAM + 16GB storage model available in near future.
The tablet runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI 4.1 atop. In terms of optics, the MediaPad T3 7 offers 2MP front and back cameras. The device packs a 3100mAh battery.
Despite the lack of an official confirmation regarding the MediaPad T3 and MediaPad T3 7's pricing details, tech tipster Roland Quandt points to a price tag of EUR 219 (about $232) for the 8-inch model, while the smaller 7-inch model is said to carry a price tag of EUR 129 (about $139).
Readers should bear in mind that nothing is set in stone yet and the aforesaid pricing details of the MediaPad T3 and MediaPad T3 7 tablets may or may not prove to be true.
