Samsung expands its self-repair program, welcoming the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 into the fold alongside the complete S23, Galaxy Tab S9, and Galaxy Book 2 Pro series.

Teaming up with iFixit, this repair initiative initially supported select devices but now includes the entire flagship S23 lineup and foldable range.

The repair prices remain unknown despite the absence of Galaxy foldables on iFixit's page.

Comparatively, the Google Pixel Fold's parts kit, facilitating extensive inner screen repairs through iFixit, costs around $900, indicating potential costs for Galaxy foldable repairs.

As Samsung broadens its self-repair horizons, users eagerly anticipate accessibility and pricing details to maintain and mend their devices.

Samsung's Self-Repair Program Extends Its Reach

Samsung's Self-Repair program expands its reach across Europe, embracing 30 countries, including Denmark, Greece, Hungary, and Portugal.

This extension amplifies the program's accessibility, empowering Galaxy users to mend their devices with genuine parts, from screen replacements to fixing charging ports, speakers, and more for smartphones.

Repairs for the Galaxy Book series include displays, batteries, touchpads, fans, and speakers.

Samsung's commitment to environmental sustainability and user empowerment shines through this initiative, offering users repair tools for convenient, hassle-free fixes at any time.

With an extensive list of supported devices, including the latest Galaxy S23 series, Z Flip5, Z Fold5, and other smartphones, tablets, and PCs, users across these regions can now explore Samsung's Self-Repair program via Samsung.com.

Samsung's self-repair initiative, introduced last summer, grants Galaxy users the tools to mend their devices independently. From damaged screens to cracked back glass, the program extends its aid to repairing charging ports, speakers, SIM trays, and various phone/tablet buttons.

Additionally, it encompasses support for fixing multiple components within the company's laptops, enhancing the repair capabilities for a wide range of Samsung devices.

Samsung's Self-Repair program

Samsung's Self-Repair program is expanding across its product range, offering repair solutions for mobiles, tablets, laptops, TVs, audio systems, and monitors.

For each product category, specific solutions are provided.

Users can explore the iFixit repair guides for mobiles, tablets, and laptops, assisting in self-repairs and connecting with the iFixit community for additional support.

SamsungParts offers genuine parts, tools, and repair manuals for TVs, audio equipment, and monitors. Official Samsung repair guides can be accessed by adding genuine parts to your cart on iFixit or Samsung parts.

Customers can check warranty coverage and utilize Samsung Care+ for expert assistance. If self-repair isn't suitable, Samsung provides a network of over 2,000 locations for same-day service. After extending a device's life, Samsung encourages recycling discarded displays, aiming to collect and recycle 15 billion pounds of electronics by 2030.

The Self-Repair program is tailored for Samsung product owners, offering detailed support materials to assess if self-repair is the right choice. It provides information on tools, step-by-step guides, genuine parts, and a 90-day limited warranty for purchased parts.

While self-repair doesn't affect the Samsung Limited Warranty, any subsequent repair due to unsuccessful self-repair might not be covered. Safety guidelines are emphasized, advising users not to proceed if safety issues are identified.

For post-self-repair issues, Samsung Care provides professional repair services and service center locations for further assistance.
