Recently, Android 4.2 Jelly officially made its way to Nexus devices and hopefully will be rolled out to other Android devices soon. With the Android 4.2 still being very fresh rumors regarding the next version Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie have started surfacing, and reports suggest that the mobile operating system has been spotted in NenaMark benchmarks.
The Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie is supposedly seen running on Sony's device LT30i. The Sony smartphone in the NenaMark benchmark test has a 720p HD display (1280 x 720 pixels resolution,) and has 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8260 processor and a Qualcomm Adreno 220 GPU.
"For what it's worth, the Sony Xperia T, the company's current flagship handset, or the James Bond phone, is also known as model number LT30p, but depending on who you ask or what you search for online, you'll find the Xperia T referred to as the LT30i as well, especially in rumors that preceded the official announcement of the Bond phone," reported Android Authority.
The Xperia T LT30p features a 720p HD display, a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8260A processor, and Qualcomm Adreno 225 GPU.
If the Android 5.0 is released sometime next year then there is no doubt that Google's Nexus devices will get to have the first taste of the operating system. With rumors flying thick and fast about the Samsung Galaxy S4 making its appearance next year, smartphone enthusiasts may hope that the latest Samsung smartphone will run on Android 5.0.
The Android user base has been increasing rapidly and with the increase in usage, customer expectations are also getting higher. It will be interesting to see what new and enhanced features Google will deploy in the next version of Android.
However, it is too soon to know which devices will get the Android 5.0 update. It remains to be seen when Google officially releases Android 5.0 and which smartphone is the first to feature the OS.
