Samsung Galaxy S3 has undoubtedly been one of the most popular smartphones of 2012 and it seems that its popularity is still growing. The Galaxy S3 was initially launched in Pebble Blue and Marble White colors and the company extended the color line-up to include an array of hues, and now reports indicate that the Sapphire Black version of the smartphone is set to debut in Canada.
"Samsung initially launched the Galaxy S III in both pebble blue and marble white. Then just before the holidays the garnet red was made available on Bell and TELUS. If you're looking for a new colour to arrive then you'll only have to wait a few more weeks (late February early March). We've been informed that the Sapphire Black Galaxy S III will be heading to Canada soil," reported Mobile Syrup.
Mobile Syrup also indicates that the Sapphire Black avatar of the Galaxy S3 is coming to Canadian carrier TELUS, but the site is unsure if other carriers will also offer the latest color.
Samsung announced the Sapphire Black color in August last year along with Amber Brown, Garnet Red, and Titanium Grey, and describes it as "a colour that adds the mysterious power of dark stones to the refined, deep sophistication of the colour black, Sapphire Black is inspired by the stones used by the ancient people of India and Persia for protection, with the belief they strengthened one's willpower."
TELUS has neither confirmed the availability, nor release date of the Sapphire Black variant. With rumors of the impending Galaxy S4 spreading like wildfire, it will be interesting to see if a new color will still be able to entice customers Galaxy S3's way.
