HTC's flagship smartphone M7 was caught on camera recently and this time, its younger sibling M4 is posing for the spy cameras. It was recently reported that HTC may unveil two android devices, a fairly powerful M4 and a low-end G2 later this year in addition to M7. Confirming the rumors, a couple of M4 images have surface now for the first time.
The leaked images of HTC M4 reveal a black policarbonate body with the popular Beats Audio logo on the back. The leak has been brought out by the folks at Pocket Droid. The pictures do indicate that the device look quite similar to M7 and even HTC One X.
HTC will host a press conference in New York City and London on Feb. 19 to announce its flagship M7 and rumors have it that the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer may release M4 and G2 at this event or perhaps at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2013 in Barcelona later this month.
According to a Chinese source, M4 is speculated to have a TFT 4.3-inch display with HD resolution, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 4G LTE capabilities, and 2 and 5 megapixels camera (the 5MP cam shoots at 720p). The device is rumored to have 16 GB of internal storage and will run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. Most importantly, the device will come with the redesigned fifth version of HTC Sense UI. The smartphone weighs in at 130 grams and measures 9.8mm thick (128.5X66.9X9.8). M4 will come in four colors such as Black, White, Green and Yellow.
M4 is said to be 'one-step below M7' while the other rumored produce G2 is an entry-level smartphone featuring a 1GHz ARM Cortex processor, 3.5-inch HVGA display, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage, 5 megapixel rear-facing camera, 1400 mAh battery and the device will run on Android Ice Cream Sandwich. G2 will probably be the cheapest Android smartphone for 2013 from HTC.
The tech world is eagerly waiting for the rumored Feb. 19 debut of HTC's flagship smartphone M7. Some of the most-speculated features of M7 are:
- A quad-core Qualcomm processor.
- A 4.7-inch 1920 x 1080 (full HD) display.
- 32GB of internal storage (no microSD card slot).
